Proteomic sample now contains 'full-reading frame' version (until sequence end or stop codon, trimmed to initial methionine residue). Reading frame was predicted by top match to known proteins (nr, Jan 15, 2005) by a complexity non-filtered BLAST search with a modified BLOSUM62 matrix (+13 and -6 in M and * rows/columns) to select strongly on start and stop codons. Gaps were ignored in the creation of this database and the stop codons were observed to occur near the end of the final predicted sequences.

Gaps were ignored in the creation of this database. This should help in MALDI- or Q-TOF investigations of Citrus proteins. A version 'forced forward orientation' has been completed (included in zipball) - this
represents the most accurate predicted proteome for Citrus that is
available and easily produced (intelligently conducted BLAST sequence similarity searches.)
